Distinguished Fellows are those Fellows in the American College of Physician Executives who have advanced to the very highest level of distinction as a physician executive by making exemplary and enduring contributions to the knowledge and advancement of medical management.

Dr. Fabius was awarded Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Physician Executives in the Spring of 2003.

This was in recognition of the significant contributions to the fields of population health, quality management, patient safety, and corporate health and wellness. These contributions have been well documented in the publication of his books, book chapters peer-reviewed articles as well as the content of lectures and coursework.

Dr. Fabius is a known as an innovator in medical management working on the cutting and even "bleeding" edge of health care delivery. He was an early pioneer of managed care, disease management, eHealth, health informatics, quality management, workplace health and the health and productivity movement.

Dr. Fabius has demonstrated leadership skills through successfully directing large organizations in the payer, provider, purchaser and vendor space such as US Healthcare, Aetna and GE.

Previously Dr. Fabius received Fellowship in the ACPE in 1996 and was Certified as a Physician Executive (CPE) in 2000.
